„DO I NOT HEAR THE MUSIC? IT IS COMING FROM ME!“
Quote from the opera "Electra" (Composer: Strauss, Libretto: von Hofmannsthal)
Dear art friends,
It is with great pleasure that I announce my exposition in cooperation with the Evangelical-Lutheran church of Northern-Hannover in the Christ Church on the Engelbosteler Damm in Hannover-Nordstadt. You are very warmly invited to the vernissage on July, 2nd 2023 at 12 a.m.
The vernissage takes place directly after the divine service "Connected" (starting at 11 a.m.) and it will be festively opened with the musical programme of Prof. Ansi Verwey-von Fleckenstein. While Prof. Verwey-von Fleckenstein interprets Bach, Wagner & Co. on the piano during the vernissage, the public is invited to ask themselves: "Do I hear the music or did my presence create it?"
In the exposition that will take place until August, 6th, 2023 I exhibit my paintings on the theme of the illusion of the separation from the Greater Good. After all, the world around and in us is the same universe.
The subject of the shown works in acrylic, oils and other materials on canvas and wood is the artistic reflection of the supraconcious substance of which our surrounding including ourselves and our dreams as well as thoughts are made.
Staging the exhibition in the Christ Church, a „House of God“, places emphasis on the deep spiritual aspects of the theme. The event venue practically cancels all restrictions of thinking, experiencing and delighting. Beneath the starry heaven on the church arch, the spectator can perceive portions of inner and outer space that allude simultaneously to scientific concepts of quantum physics and teachings in the philosophy of life. The connection of the galactic space with highly vibrant areas of the heart-ghost lets the spactator feel like floating within the familiar limits of conciousness. The objective of the experience is to plunge the viewer into an extensive magic-realistic matter and expose them to the mystical dimension from which everything originates. Ideally, one can feel themself unified with the universe, erasing the illusion and unmasking the lie of separation.
The finissage "Last dance with Dr. Jana Nirvana" takes place on August, 6th again from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. right after the divine service. Dr. Anne Charlotte Ullrich will enchant us with her beautiful voice singing Mendelsson and other surprising pieces.
Everybody is very welcome. The church provides accessibility to all.
You may reach the location by public transport via the city rail 6 and 11 (station Christuskirche).
Hours of the exposition:
Thursday to Friday 3 - 6 p.m.
Saturday 12 - 6 p.m.
